jalgaon :- RSS to hold meetings in December for Ram temple

The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) on Monday said it was in favour of building a Ram temple at Ayodhya and would be organising public meetings all over the country in December to demonstrate people's support for the call.

Disclosing the resolutions adopted at the three-day meeting of the Akhil Bharatiya Karyakari Mandal of the RSS held at Jalgaon (Maharashtra), its national executive member Ram Madhav said: "We will hold public meetings at the block-levels nationwide throughout December in support of Ram temple at Ayodhya." Madhav was addressing a press conference in the city.

The Sangh leader said the organisation was getting feelers that the general public opinion was in favour of the temple at the disputed site. "After the Allahabad High Court verdict, now there is court seal too on the dispute site being the birthplace of Ram," Madhav reasoned.

The two other resolutions adopted at the meeting included fighting Congress efforts to defame RSS and defending Kashmir as the integral part of India, the spokesperson said. Madhav stated the Sangh believed that the accession of Kashmir was "full and final" the moment the then ruler of Jammu and Kashmir, Hari Singh, signed the instrument of accession on October 26, 1947. "The same document had legal sanctity for accession of other the princely states too, so Kashmir cannot be treated differently," the spokesperson asserted.
