Jalgaon milk union annual report – earns 1.52 Crores:
Jalgaon district’s shining aspect of co-operative movement, Jalgaon Jilha Sahakari Dudh Utpadak Sangh Maryadit popularly abbreviated as ‘Vikas’ has posted hefty profits of Rs. 1.52 Crores in FY 2010-11. The milk union having reserved losses of around 17 Crores in earlier time has ushered in new dawn of growth with its annual turnover rising towards Rs. 250 Crores. It has availed Rs. 60.32 Lakhs rebate to primary milk producing unions along with dividend to stake holders amounting to Rs. 14 Lakhs. It conducted its 40th Annual general meeting on Monday, 08th August.
Union’s daily milk collection has reached to 138,000 litres of milk and Sales has risen to 162,000 litres per day. It has ambitious plans to renovate Shivaji Nagar based old plant, introduce new recruitment drive for respective field experts, to attempt its inclusion in NDDB’s accelerated dairy development project, to setup national dairy project in Jalgaon, to introduce ideal farming based setup for reducing its processing cost and look to research on high yield varieties.
