Mumbai High Court Aurangabad bench issues notices to NHAI and State:
Mumbai High Court Aurangabad bench has issued notices to National Highway Authorities of India Jalgaon division, Central surface and road transport ministry and concerned State offices to submit its affidavit in reference to a Public Interest litigation filed by Mrs. Pramila Sopan Patil, on grounds of risen road accidents in Jalgaon. The PIL addresses concerns on Highways Road management Officials negligence on not completing side tracks of highways crossing through City thereby making side moves difficult and causing accidents of citizens taking innocent victims.
Such accidents later turns Law and Order situation out of Controls that makes public rage on accident causes blocking road traffic and tempering the peace and non-violence code. Jalgaon city has witnessed over 5-6 major accidents in recent times and most of them were connected in reference to highway crossings and all took lives of innocent and youths raising severe difficulties to their respective families. Bench would hear this case further on 30th August
