District’s Co-operatives on sale – need of thinking above local politics

:
Jalgaon district’s co-operative segment has witnessed sharp decline in last decade and the worsened effects are visible on street these days. Many of such farmers and producers benefiting projects have been closed down following liquidity crunch and huge debts. As a result of this state, almost of them are now for auction by various bankers and would be sold in phased manner very soon. Region’s only escaped and today’s only most enriched co-operative movement i.e. Jalgaon Milk Union can be termed as only timely action that saved fates of millions. The NDDB administered and run Jalgaon Milk Union now proudly acclaims itself as ‘Vikas – Proud of Maharashtra’ and tops in milk produces throughout State in reference to quality and profitability.
District’s apex co-operative bank JDCC Bank having made efforts to rejuvenate various such closed sugar factories, ginning has failed to pump the normalisation. As a result now most of such closed units including large scale setup like Vasant Sugar factory, Belganga Sugar factory and Yaval ginning are now all set to be auctioned. There is a strong need of political strength and focussed thinking on employment opportunities in district and that too with good consideration of geographical positive aspects. Our political tycoons have to come out of individual, party-specific and interest focussed aspects in pulling off such auctions and make concrete efforts to reinstate them.

algaon - unfolding new era of self-driven growth and prosperity

:
The agricultural dominated Jalgaon district holding its majority share in banana and cotton produces is unfolding new era of liberalisation and self-driven growth. Jalgaon in-spite of being politically ill-fated to ruling State Governments, has now driven its own growth parameters utilising its strengths, geographical advantages and being centre point of commuting for nation’s many developed and fast developing metros.
Last few years have been foundation stones of people driven growth and overcoming shorts of its local governances with zero to low support in desired parameters. Banking has been pioneer of this boon with Jalgaon being the most affected victim of co-operative Societies financial irregularities trapping over 1,000 Crores of cash of citizen’s savings. District earlier having few nationalised and private banks and just finger countable ATM has rapidly changed. Nation’s almost all large scale private banks, nationalised banks and co-operative banks are now in Jalgaon district and that too widening their presence to Tahsil levels as well. This dawn in banking has ushered all new parameters of businesses and personal services in banking to region assisting it in shaping a stable and secure growth ahead.
Education turned second biggest plus for region with significant arrival of many national level schools, Engineering and Technical education institutions. Many more educational institutions are also in pipeline to mark their presence in this. Jalgaon now has more number of intake seats than Nashik in engineering and technical education, a University presence along with wonderful rising count of schooling facilities. This has also availed wonderful number of employment opportunities to region and has availed sound inflow of other than local students boosting overall economy of region. Educational growth here can be symbolised with a pretty one liner statement: You avail/ have 500 skilled teaching resources in various field, we have rewarding jobs/ recruitment for them.
During this growth arena, Jalgaon’s industrial and trade sectors aiming hand to hand steps of growths, could not raise much. Both Industries and trade sectors being local governance support and taxation structure dependent could not open their wings in spite of many agitations and demands raised. Industrial sector is equally facing labour issue with earlier regionalism troubling other State workers along with no to lowest infrastructural facilities from Corporation. The most tragic segment for them is to pay double taxes i.e. to MIDC as well as to Corporation. Traders continue to be most desired catches from local and State governances with no visionary approach in boosting trades. Region’s traders earlier striking harder with Octroi now have LBT as another challenge to digest. The most ancient saying of odd circumstances always usher one to apply the best seem to be the current mantra of both of these sectors. Hopes of doubled pace growth in industrial zone post airport start up and Corporation slowly begun infrastructure reforms to show itself as working governance are a few rays of hopes for both these segments.
Real estate has turned one of most lucrative and rewarding planned strategy for region. Large inflow of outsider officials, faculty members, students, growing populace and need of land for various governmental, banking and educational institutions along with housing have almost tripled property rates in Jalgaon in last 2 years. Real estate is today’s most talked and has always been most preferred investment tool in region. The year 1990’s and year 2000 investors have turned multi-millionaire just for withholding invested lands. This segment is now all set to mark arrival of various national level builders/ developers for medium sized projects.
The earlier built negativity of having no businesses/ growth in region is fading in trade communities with this new unfold in prosperity. This growth being self-driven and people owned would multiply rapidly and is one of more stable and permanent phases of charisma for region. Let us all contribute and apply our best to be the most benefited element of this new dawn of global growth.

Corporation budget 2011 – Aid dependent budget

:
Jalgaon city Municipal Corporation administration yesterday presented its annual budget for year 2011-12. The mega 921.14 Crores budget has large amount of dependence of Central and State government funding in various projects. Jalgaon City Municipal Corporation being one of richest assets holder Corporation in its category does not seem to have utilised and visualised its revenue side.
Over 700 Crores of this allocation has been shown as Central and State Government aids under various schemes/ projects. One of most interesting and practically evaluated aspect is such allocations never reach in time and that too never in 100% of its proposed form. Both Central and State agencies put forward around 60-80% of demanded funds and even this requires significant bureaucratic and diplomatic efforts and zeal to reach here. Amidst such instances, just budgetary provisions and no execution, makes such budgets a mere paper presentation and keeps on frustrating citizens with their needs of basic infrastructural facilities.

Dhule district – in search of growth catalysers

:
Jalgaon’s neighbouring Dhule district has been in centre point of attraction in last 6 months following rising reports of alleged political connections in fuel mixing cases. Various mega projects like State Electricity produces Company new mega setup, solar city, industrial corridor and many more alike along with express highway are clicking its door to unfold new era of growth.
The bureaucracy and diplomacy here needs a revival and fresh set of understanding of focussed approach to rejuvenate and help region overcome so called ‘backward’ state of minds and living standards. District has wonderful hard workers talent pool equipped with balanced communication tools and is amidst centre of Nashik and Jalgaon to get optimal benefits.
To be political lucky enough to get good inflow of governmental grants is a big asset for the district. The Dhule district administration, Corporation and councils in aligned efforts with its political fraternity should revamp the reference here to term real citizen centric growth.

:
Its high planning time for all governmental agencies to prepare their home works for the coming year and present its annual budgets.
