Dhule News - Dhule traders move Court on LBT tax levying

Dhule traders move Court on LBT tax levying:
Dhule district traders have moved to Aurangabad bench of Mumbai High Court demanding not to implement the proposed local body tax from 01st October 2012. Malegaon, Bhivandi and Sangli Corporations have received stay on LBT implementation from Mumbai High Court and Dhule has demanded the same. Traders have posted their stand of LBT adversely affecting competitiveness of traders and rising cost. More of Corporation does not have any competent resources on processing and traders have not been trained on handling the tax. State is yet to answer on this front and might likely extend the implementation of LBT in these Corporations post announced timeline arrival.

Railways announce experimental halt to new trains on Amalner station:
Western railways has announced halt to newly started 19057/ 19058 Udhana – Varanasi Express and 18405/ 18406 Ahemedabad – Puri Express for period from 13th October 2012 until 12th April 2013. 19058 Varanasi express will reach Amalner on 1.48AM, Jalgaon on 3.43AM on Thursday midnight wherein 10957 Udhana express will reach Jalgaon at 5am and Amalner at 5.56AM on Sunday.
Puri express will reach Amalner on 2.48AM in early morning and Ahmedabad express train reaches Amalner in night 22.23PM for move to Ahmedabad. Railways have opened reservation for Amalner for these trains as per the schedule given.

M. J. College wins Purushottam trophy one play competition:
Parivartan group Jalgaon and national arts preservation society Pune organised and Jain multipurpose foundation sponsored Purushottam trophy one play 3-days competition at Jalgaon centre ended yesterday. Competition had 29 entries and participation of teams from various colleges in the region. M. J. College Jalgaon team won first prize for its play ‘बाबूराव आणि समूह’ followed by Pratap College Amalner getting second for ‘एक अधिक शून्य’ and Jamner Science College securing third place for ‘सर्कस’.
This was third consecutive victory of M. J. College and Jamner teams on this trophy wining same ranking. Prize distribution ceremony had film actor Upendra Limaye honoring winners along with many other dignitaries.

All India level mega blood donation drive evoked fabulous reflection of youth energy and associated working. Jalgaon district for first time received 1,183 blood donations in a single day camp ever organised by means of this youthful approach. Drive had 7 donation camps namely at Anuvrat Bhavan, Chatrapati Shivaji Stadium, Government I.T.I. College, Deokar College, Sureshdada Jain Complex MIDC, Mobile Van and Red Cross society office.

DPDC meeting review – announces availing Tapi water to Jalgaon city:
Jalgaon district planning and development committee met yesterday to review various perspectives and concerns. Amongst major decisions in the meet included availing Tapi River water from Bhusawal to Jalgaon city instead of Waghur dam and availing compensation to farmers witnessing fungal infection due to season un-stability on cotton crop. It also urged administration to rework on River Linking project initiated long ago and submit its proposal to State government for further review. Committee also ordered detailed investigation of Mehrun Lake water levels reduction in recent years.
