The buses are being used during October 12 and 14 for transporting voting machines, documents, staff and police personnel for the Assembly Elections, MSRTC public relations officer Mukund Dhus said.
The details of the buses, on casual contract, are as follows: Mumbai Region 985, Raigad199, Sindhudurg 108, Ratnagiri 308, Thane156, Palghar154 and Mumbai 60.
Nashik Region 1373 - Ahmednagar 362, Dhule 258, Jalgaon 389 and Nashik 364 and Pune Region 2475 - Kolhapur 297, Pune 865, Sangli 447, Satara 330 and Solapur 536.
Aurangabad Region (1301) : Aurangabad248, Beed 195, Jalna 150, Latur170, Nanded243, Osmanabad123 and Parbhani172

To ensure smooth movement of MSRTC buses during this period, a apecial control room is operating from MSRTC Central Office in Mumbai and will coordinate with all the control rooms of Regional and divisional headquarters, Dhus said.
