Corporation general body meeting called yesterday witnessed violent turn yesterday with ruling and opposition tussling the water taxes risen aspect. However general body approved the new water tax with ruling party in majority. The new tax structure would come in effect from coming financial year.
This budget has aimed revenue of 60 Crores from selling its Phule market property, 25 Crores from house taxes, 65 Crores from LBT and has 2.92 Crores reserved fund after all expense. Budget has allocation of 29 Crores for roads, 9 Crores for drainage, 1 Crore for new street lights, 25 Lakhs each for Mehrun lake and various Chowk renovation work, 60 lakhs for amusement parks and 40 Lakhs for town hall development.
