Election Commission extends election expenditure limits:
The Election Commission of India has extended limits of expenses for local constituency elections like Panchayat elections, municipal councils and ZP elections. The revised limits are Municipal Council – A Class – Rs. 3 Lakhs, Municipal Council – B Class – 2 Lakhs, Municipal Council – C Class – 1.50Lakhs, ZP Elections – 3 Lakhs, Panchayat Committee – 2Lakhs and Village Panchayat – 25,000 as new limits.
