Disappointing notes on Airport and Highways four lane project:
Jalgaon district’s two major ailments triggering factors Airport commercial flights startup and highways four lane projects have been bowed down to bureaucratic processes once again. Jalgaon airport inaugurated two years ago is facing harder time to get flights startup and AAI has moved 10 out of 18 officials at this airport to other locations as a result. Many private airlines having shown interesting in starting flights like Supreme, ABC airways, silver jubilee have also moved away from start wherein Supreme’s night landing proposal is yet to be approved by officials.
Highways four lane project awardee L&T is all set to exit project with almost 30months completing for project start and administration yet to deliver land for starting up work. L&T started its work with full pace, setup new offices, machinery and resources and waited desperately with administration to get start project physical work. However, it is still to get nod and land transfer from administration and due to heavy expense already started Company is in plans to exit this project and has already issued notice to NHAI. L&T demand of waiving first year’s 240Crores revenue extension to second or third year will be heard at new government level to be formed.
