Chalisgaon city to get Girana dam water soon:
Chalisgaon city’s rising population and drinking water needs considered proposal for laying new supply pipelines from its nearest Girana dam has been approved by State government on technical aspect. The 80 Crores cost based new project would link 38kms distance based Girana dam water to Chalisgaon city and this would considerably improve city supplies. Chalisgaon currently gets 35years old Rahipuri water supply station supply which receives water via Mehunbare from Girana dam. Council would also introduce new water storage tanks through Central Government 4 Crores fund.
