District likely to witness chemical fertilisers shortage in this season:
Jalgaon district authorities have received 3.34 Lakh tonnes of chemical fertilisers for upcoming Kharip season to that of its demanded 425,000 tonnes. This includes more than half slashed supply of most demanded 10:26:26 mixed fertiliser. This is likely to cause artificial shortage of urea and mixed fertilisers during the season. District witnessed shortage of these fertilisers in last year as well and had supplies of 342,000 tonnes last year from State.
