Jalgaon receives honour of Saibaba Rath preparation:
Shirdi Sai Baba’s native place Pathari (Parbhani) based Sai Baba memorial committee has availed Rath preparation, decoration work to Jalgaon based Om Sai Mitra Mandal. This Rath would go to Pathari on 07th April and this will accompany Mandal’s member in bare foot procession till the end. The Rath being made is octagon in shape as that of Pathari temple and has high quality wooden finishing, carving and designing along with two eagles on front side. Rath has dimensions of 44 feet vertical height, 12 feet height and 8 feet width and has 4x3 feet brass Asanam for Sai Baba idol setup.
Ancient literature suggests Sai Baba coming to Jalgaon in 1904-05 to assist his devoted fellow Baba Bapugir Buva to take him from Jalgaon to Jamner and also to bless another devotee Nanasaheb Chandorkar from Jamner by sending Prasadam.
