CCI procures 1Lakh quintal Cotton in season:
The central government controlled rate buying offered by CCI at 4 centres in district has procured around 1Lakh quintal cotton in this season amidst private buyers competition. Centres at Erandol, Bodwad, Pahur and Shendurni offered Rs. 5,500 to 6,000 per quintal rate depending on quality. The State government co-operative marketing federation however failed to attract farmers and did not get any response.
